Apps like Zoom can give leaders in your church the opportunity to teach about the people groups in your area. Missionaries can use these apps to bring people into a deeper relationship with the verses in Matthew 28:16-20:
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him, but some doubted. Jesus came near and spoke to them, “I’ve received all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age.”
Apps like Zoom give you screen sharing and annotation ability. This is great for power point presentations. The video interface allows for a sense of community to develop in a face-to-face sense. As technology advances, especially in the area of Virtual or Augmented Reality, sharing the Gospel will get quite exciting and the opportunities endless. The internet is still the wild west of the world. The internet gives missionaries the ability to share what they are doing through video apps, Facebook live presentations through groups set as “secret.” Now more than ever, missionaries, can connect with their supporting churches and guide them into global outreach.
How are you using social media to share the Gospel? What people group are you reaching?
