Our goal at CMI is to get EVERY Christian using their social media more intentionally, more other-orientated. After all, social media is about being SOCIAL. This site educates and equips the Christian in false cults and religions, how to defend their faith, how to create community, to use their one social media site well, how to write, use technology, and to be more than just a nominal Christian or a pew warmer.
I’m especially interested in getting people to write in their heart language so we reach beyond political and ethnic boundaries to those believers who can live evangelically in their own communities. It’s about being better communicators online so our passion isn’t misconstrued as anger, and we learn to wait until the people we talk to let us into their lives.
We wouldn’t barge into someone’s house; we’d knock, bring them cookies, and pray for them.
So it should be online. Help them find connections in their local communities. Social Media is a highly useful tool.
This Week’s Challenge: As you write your Google+, Facebook, Twitter, or _______ site, pause before you hit post. Your post should: (1) Challenge them to live better, (2) Encourage them, (3) and/or reveal the lesson in your trial or praise that God is trying to teach you.
