When I first became an appointed missionary with WorldVenture, an education requirement was part of the deal. As I dived into the world of education. I felt overwhelmed. Classes were beyond what I could afford. Liberty University called my cell phone four days a week, annoying me to no end. The exciting future of a degree met the reality of my situation.

I was not going to become a high-powered executive where there was the possibility of repaying my education debt. My career is in serving others through social media and mobile technology. So I came up with a cheaper version of education—free or affordable Bible classes and a great Amazon wish list.

If you want to learn how to speak to a different culture online, start your research now. Self-educate yourself with a book reading list. Mine is huge. But here are a few that I am in the middle of reading:
