There are so many ways that you and I can get involved in helping to bring change to situations and seeing God’s word come to life. If you were to keep a weekly account of your prayer requests that you submit to the Lord you would find that our prayers so often are consumed by our wants and needs.

We need to become more concerned and consumed with the prayers that are less about us and more about others. Whatever you intercede for others God can boomerang back to you. I have listed below several Biblical prayer requests that you can pray in your alone time with the Lord but also place on all of your social media sites to spark a more “Selfless” prayer life in others. You will be amazed that as you put your focus on others God will focus on you.

PRAY FOR…

  1. Rulers – 1 Timothy 2:1-2
  2. Nations – 2 Chronicles 7:14
  3. The Families of The Rulers – Ezra 6:10
  4. Intercessors – Ezekiel 22:30
  5. Laborers – Matthew 9:38
  6. Ministers and Missionaries – Acts 12:5
  7. The Persecuted – Acts 12:12
  8. One Another
  9. Sick and Afflicted – James 5:14
  10. Brokenhearted and Bereaved – Isaiah 61:1
  11. Starving, Homeless and Poor – Proverbs 29:7
  12. Widows, Fatherless and Motherless – Isaiah 1:7
  13. Prisoners and Mentally Ill – Isaiah 49:8-9
  14. Elderly – Isaiah 46:4
  15. Youth – Deuteronomy 6:7
  16. Enemies – Matthew 5:44
  17. Protection – Psalm 34:7
  18. Peace of Jerusalem – Psalm 122:6
  19. Family – Acts 16:31
  20. Your Daily Needs – Matthew 6:11

These are 20 topics that you can pray for daily and notice that your prayer requests are last. So often I have people ask, “Pastor how can I pray for 1 hour, I get distracted and feel like I am rambling.”

My response to them is, “If you spend 3 minutes on each one of these topics you will have prayed for an hour. This list keeps your mind focused as well as keeps your prayers lined up to God’s word.”
